Hebron

The Hebron field uses a stand-alone concrete gravity based structure (GBS) which was built in Bull Arm near Ameil’s fabrication shop. The GBS was mated to its topsides at sea. The GBS is a reinforced concrete structure designed to withstand sea ice, icebergs, meteorological and oceanographic conditions. The GBS can store approximately 1.2 million barrels of crude oil.

AMEIL Constructors Limited was awarded the contract for fabrication of the J-tubes and Risers, embedded in the concrete structure, in April 2013.
